Spain is a country full of diversity. There are many mountains throughout the country which makes it a great place for any person who enjoy adventure and the thrill gained from being one with nature. But for the more romantic people, you could take a stroll through the beautiful rolling hills of the country or one of the great vineyards that produce some of the most exquisite wines in the world with the the one you love. If you like being around the water, you could always go to the amazing coastlines of the Straight of Gibralter and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets that you will ever see in your life. If sports are your thing, soccer is one of the most talked about and played sports in all of Spain. There are many fun things to do like taking a boat ride across the beautiful clear waters, eating some of the best Spanish cuisnes that are symbolic to this area, or hiking through the mountains. Many famous people call Spain their home ranging from actors and actresses to athletes and even explorers. The most well know actor is probably Antonio Banderas and the best known actress would have to be Penelope Cruz. Probably the most famous singer from Spain is Enrique Iglesias although there are many others. Spain is home to a variety of accomplished athletes including World Champion Boxers, cyclists, Gold Medalists, tennis players and even bull fighters.
Remember when you had to study the famous Explorers? Well, both Cortes - the Spanish Conquistador - and Balboa, the first to sight the Pacific Ocean, call Spain their home. Those are just some highlights of the many famous people from Spain.

Spain has some of the biggest and most historic cities known to man. The capital Madrid, Spain is home to nearly 3 million people. With such a diversity of people, that explains why there is such a mixture of cultures and customs. Madrid has many famous landmarks such as the Royal Palace, a fort occupied by the Moors in the 10th ceuntry and was destoryed by a fire in 1734. It was rebuilt and is still standing. It is a large attraction for anyone who enjoys seeing the evidence of such a great past that shaped the country into what it is today.

Spain is home of many famous foods around the world. Many local stores and restaurants serve a wide variety of foods. From some of the most basic of snacks to the eloquient entrees, they all have one thing in common, superior taste and a rich past. One of the major dishes of this area is called the Paella. It is a dish that is made with some of the finest hand grown vegetables and herbs known to this region. It also has several types of fish and are all mixed sin a large round pan called a "paellera" which is where the cuzine gets its name.
